How many hides do I need?
One hide covers roughly 2–3.5 yards of 54″ fabric depending on the line — every product page has a yardage calculator that converts your fabric estimate to hides.
What does the Slipstream burn-test documentation cover?
Every Slipstream hide includes Carolyn Fabrics-branded manufacturer production-order documentation matched to the shipped color and dye lot. It records the leather material’s FAR 25.853 12-second vertical test results; it is not FAA approval of an aircraft, seat, or finished installation. The installer and applicable approval authority determine acceptability for the specific project.

Can I use this on motorcycle seats?
Yes — Sidecar is water-resistant and FMVSS 302 rated, made for motorcycle seats, automotive interiors, and outdoor cushions.
Do I get the exact cowhide pictured?
The photos show a representative color and pattern. After your order is placed, we send photographs of three currently available hides and you choose the exact one before it ships. For upholstery leather, expect natural dye-lot and grain variation; order a sample first to confirm color.
