Product Details

Tibetan lambskin shearling panels bring the softest, silkiest long-wool texture we carry — genuine sheepskin with a curled pile that catches the light and feels incredible underfoot or draped over a chair. Each panel is a uniform 2' × 4' rectangle, dyed through in rich, saturated color, so they're easy to design with: use one as a seat throw or bench pad, or sew several together edge-to-edge to build a rug, a bed throw, or a wall piece in any size you want.

  • Genuine Tibetan lambskin with long, curly wool pile
  • Uniform panel size: 2' × 4' (about 8 sq ft) — panels join cleanly for larger pieces
  • 31 stocked colors, from naturals to bold brights and silver-tipped tones
  • Soft suede-backed hide — use as a throw, rug, bench pad, pillow face, or accent
  • Sold by the panel
  • Genuine shearling — real wool-on sheepskin, not faux fur

Ordering

Panels are sold individually. Orders over $250 ship free within the US; smaller orders show a flat shipping rate at checkout. Because this is a natural, dyed sheepskin, expect slight variation in color and pile from panel to panel — that variation is normal for real hide, not a defect. Natural-hide items are final sale. Care & Cleaning
Routine care: shake the skin out to lift and separate the wool. Brush with a wire wool comb or a pet slicker brush to keep the pile open and lofty — long-wool skins benefit from this more than short. Spills: blot immediately with a clean dry cloth, then spot-clean with a little mild soap (a wool-safe detergent is ideal) in cool water. Work on the wool only and keep the suede backing as dry as you can. Let it air dry flat, away from heat, then brush the pile back up once dry. Never: machine wash, tumble dry, wring, or use hot water, bleach or solvents. Heat and agitation are what felt the wool and shrink the hide. Keep away from direct heat and out of prolonged direct sun, which will dry the backing and fade dyed colors. Air it outdoors in the shade every so often — wool naturally sheds odor and refreshes. For anything beyond a small spot, use a cleaner experienced with genuine shearling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this real sheepskin?

Yes — genuine wool-on shearling, a real hide with the wool still attached to it, suede-backed. Not faux fur, and not wool sewn onto a fabric base.

Can I join panels into something bigger?

Yes, that is what the uniform size is for. Each panel is a true 2 ft by 4 ft rectangle, about 8 square feet, so panels sew edge to edge cleanly into a rug, a bed throw or a wall piece at whatever size you need. Work out your square footage and call us if you want a hand with the count.

How many colors are there?

31 stocked colors, from naturals through bold brights to silver-tipped tones. Sold by the panel.

Can I wash it?

Not in a machine. Heat and agitation felt the wool and shrink the hide, and that is permanent. Shake it out, brush the pile with a wire wool comb or a pet slicker brush, and spot-clean with a wool-safe soap in cool water, keeping the suede backing as dry as you can. Air dry flat away from heat, then brush the pile back up.

Do the colors vary?

Yes. These are natural hides taking dye, so tone and pile vary from skin to skin — that is real sheepskin behaving normally, not a defect. If you need two that match closely for a pair of chairs, call us and we will pull them together.

Can I return it?

Natural-hide items are final sale. Call us before you order if you are unsure about color or size — 336-887-3101 — and we will talk it through.
