We sew 35 stitch patterns — Lambo, Fish Scale, Reptile, Hex Cells, Riptide, Harley, Gambler, Houndstooth, Qbert — as flat 48 × 28 in. panels in marine vinyl, ready for your shop or your garage to wrap onto the seat. Pick the pattern, the vinyl color and the thread color. We sew it in High Point, North Carolina, usually within one business day.

Every pattern opens a configurator where you choose the vinyl, the thread color and the foam. Every panel is sewn on 3/8 in. sew foam.

How a 48 × 28 panel fits a cart

A panel is one flat, foam-backed, top-stitched piece — not a finished seat cover. You (or your upholsterer) cut it to the seat, wrap it, and finish the edges and piping the way you’d finish any seat.

  • Front bench bottom: one panel. Most bench bottoms run about 38–39 in. wide on Club Car Precedent and DS and Yamaha Drive, so a 48-in. panel covers it with trim to spare.
  • Front backrest: a second panel.
  • Rear flip seat: one panel for the bottom, one for the back.
  • The pattern runs the long way on the 48-in. side. If you want it oriented the other way, say so in the order notes.
  • Foam: every panel is sewn on 3/8-in. sew foam. The panel goes over your existing seat foam.

Finish the rest of the seat from the same box

Most builds use the panel for the insert and plain vinyl for the bolsters, sides and piping. Everything below matches the panel and ships in the same order.

  • Pinnacle marine vinyl by the yard, 54 in. wide — figure 2–3 yards per bench. Cut to order, one-yard minimum. Same 40 colors as the panel, so the sides match the insert. Pinnacle’s published specs: exceeds 1,500,000 double rubs, cold crack to −67°F, UV AATCC 16.3 Grade 4.0 at 1,500 hours, and Staycool — up to 10% cooler in direct sun than conventional PVC, in every color.   • Matched thread — Amann OutdoorPro Tex 90 (or Tex 135 for heavy machines), 34 colors, matched to your vinyl.
  • Sew foam by the yard, hog rings, staples, contact adhesive — all in the catalog.

If you sew cart seats, you already know the math: the insert is the slow part. We sew it, you build the seat. One pattern or a run of forty; one color for a fleet; school or brand colors in the thread. A trade account gets you the sample cards, a record of what you ordered last time so we can match it, tax exemption where you qualify, and shipping on your own UPS or FedEx account. Same price list as everyone else — the only thing that changes the price is quantity.

We sew the stitch pattern. Piping, embroidery and logos are your upholsterer’s work — that’s what makes the seats above look the way they do.

Don’t sew? That’s fine.

Order the panel and the yardage, and hand them to any local upholstery or marine-canvas shop. We’ll ship straight to the shop if you’d rather. Cart seats are a half-day job for a shop that does marine work.

Questions

Will a 48 × 28 panel cover a golf cart seat?

Yes for the bench bottom and backrest on the common carts. Most front benches are about 38 to 39 inches wide, so one panel covers each face with trim to spare. It is a flat panel, not a fitted cover: you cut it to your seat.

How much vinyl do I need to reupholster a golf cart seat?

Plan on 2 to 3 yards of 54-inch marine vinyl per bench (bottom plus backrest) for the sides, bolsters and piping, plus one panel per face if you want a stitched insert. Rear flip seats take about the same.

Is Pinnacle OK for a cart that lives outside?

Pinnacle is a marine vinyl. Its published results are UV AATCC 16.3 Grade 4.0 at 1,500 hours, cold crack to −67°F, over 1,500,000 double rubs, and it is bleach cleanable. It is also Staycool, so a dark seat in July runs up to 10% cooler than conventional PVC.

Can you do a pattern that isn't on the list?

Call us. We sew 35 patterns as standard; if you have something else in mind, we will tell you whether it is something we can run.

How fast does it ship?

Panels are made to order, usually sewn within one business day, and typically ship within 1 to 3 business days. Vinyl by the yard ships in 1 to 2 business days when in stock. We ship to the lower 48 states only.

Do you make finished golf cart seat covers?

No. We make the stitched panel and sell the vinyl, thread and foam. Any upholstery shop can turn those into a finished seat, or you can if you have a stapler and a Saturday.
