Anyone can sew a diamond. We sew 35 stitch patterns — Lambo, Fish Scale, Reptile, Hex Cells, Riptide, Harley, Gambler, Houndstooth, Qbert — as flat 48 × 28 in. panels in marine vinyl, ready for your shop or your garage to wrap onto the seat. Pick the pattern, the vinyl color and the thread color. We sew it in High Point, North Carolina, usually within one business day.

Plan your layout around a 48 × 28 panel

A panel is one flat, top-stitched piece, not a finished seat cover. Your upholsterer cuts and incorporates it into the seat cover, including the borders, sides and piping the job needs. Check the foam option when ordering.

  • Front bench bottom: measure the area you want stitched and check it against the 48 × 28 in. panel.
  • Front backrest: check it separately; it may need a different layout.
  • Rear flip seat: measure the bottom and back separately. Use your cutting templates, including seam allowances and any wrap allowance. Confirm the pattern placement before deciding how many panels to order.
  • The pattern runs the long way on the 48-in. side. If you want it oriented the other way, say so in the order notes.
  • Foam: check the option selected in the configurator. Your upholsterer should assess the seat foam and decide what the finished seat needs.

Finish the rest of the seat from the same box

Most builds use the panel for the insert and plain vinyl for the bolsters, sides and piping. Everything below matches the panel and ships in the same order.

  • Pinnacle marine vinyl by the yard, 54 in. wide. Work out the yardage from your cutting layout, including the bolsters, sides, piping and allowances. Cut to order, one-yard minimum. Same 40 colors as the panel, so the sides match the insert. Pinnacle’s published specs: exceeds 1,500,000 double rubs, cold crack to −67°F, UV AATCC 16.3 Grade 4.0 at 1,500 hours, and Staycool technology to help reduce heat buildup.   • Matched thread — Amann OutdoorPro Tex 90 (or Tex 135 for heavy machines), 34 colors, matched to your vinyl.
  • Sew foam by the yard, hog rings, staples, contact adhesive — all in the catalog.

If you sew cart seats, you already know the math: the insert is the slow part. We sew it, you build the seat. One pattern or a run of forty; one color for a fleet; school or brand colors in the thread. A trade account gets you the sample cards, a record of what you ordered last time so we can match it, tax exemption where you qualify, and shipping on your own UPS or FedEx account. Same price list as everyone else — the only thing that changes the price is quantity.

We sew the stitch pattern. Piping, embroidery and logos are your upholsterer’s work — that’s what makes the seats above look the way they do.

Order the panel and the yardage, and hand them to any local upholstery or marine-canvas shop. We’ll ship straight to the shop if you’d rather. Ask the shop to confirm the panel layout, materials and labor time before you order.

Will a 48 × 28 panel cover a golf cart seat?

Check your seat or cutting template against the 48 × 28 in. panel, including seam allowances and any wrap allowance. Measure the bottom and backrest separately and confirm the pattern placement. These are flat stitched components, not fitted covers; the number of panels depends on your layout.

How much vinyl do I need to reupholster a golf cart seat?

Work from the cutting templates for the bottom, backrest, sides, bolsters and piping, including allowances. Check the layout against the vinyl width and the 48 × 28 in. stitched panel before ordering. Your upholsterer can confirm the yardage and panel count for your seats.

Is Pinnacle OK for a cart that lives outside?

Pinnacle is a marine vinyl. Its published results are UV AATCC 16.3 Grade 4.0 at 1,500 hours, cold crack to −67°F, over 1,500,000 double rubs, and it is bleach cleanable. Its Staycool technology is intended to help reduce heat buildup; actual seat temperature depends on color, sun and conditions.

Can you do a pattern that isn't on the list?

Call us. We sew 35 patterns as standard; if you have something else in mind, we will tell you whether it is something we can run.

How fast does it ship?

Panels are made to order, usually sewn within one business day, and typically ship within 1 to 3 business days. Vinyl by the yard ships in 1 to 2 business days when in stock. We ship to the lower 48 states only.

Do you make finished golf cart seat covers?

No. We make the stitched panel and sell the vinyl, thread and foam. Have your upholsterer confirm the layout and the work needed to turn those materials into your finished seat.
