Product Details
Spirit Millennium is Naugahyde's made-in-USA workhorse contract vinyl. It has a smooth leather grain, a fairly thick, less-stretchy construction, and a 40-plus-year track record in demanding seating.
Best for: Heavy-traffic contract seating, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, and aviation interiors where proven durability and flame performance matter.
Choose another vinyl if: You need easier shaping around tight contours—Spirit can be harder to work than more flexible vinyls. For open-boat marine use, choose one of Carolyn's purpose-selected marine vinyls.
Working note: Gentle warmth from a hair dryer or sunlight can improve flexibility. Keep the heat moving and do not use a heat gun, which can burn the vinyl.
Aviation documentation: Manufacturer burn documentation is provided only when requested with your order. Use the required Yes/No choice on this page before adding Spirit Millennium to your cart. It is not included automatically and may not be available after the material ships. The listing and documentation apply to the vinyl material, not an aircraft, seat, or finished installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Spirit Millennium a workhorse?
1,500,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs, a thicker and less stretchy construction, a smooth leather grain, and a 40-plus-year track record in demanding contract seating. It is made in the USA by Naugahyde.
Can I use it for an aircraft interior?
Spirit Millennium is used in aviation interiors, but manufacturer burn documentation is supplied only when you request it with your order. Use the required Yes/No choice on this page before adding it to the cart so the paperwork ships with the material. Material documentation does not approve a completed aircraft seat or installation.
Is it good for open-boat marine work?
We would steer you elsewhere. Its cold crack is -20°F, which is a contract interior number rather than an exposed-marine one. For a boat that lives outdoors, one of our purpose-selected marine vinyls is the better call.
It is stiff to work with. Any advice?
Gentle warmth from a hair dryer or sunlight improves flexibility. Keep the heat moving and never use a heat gun — it will burn the vinyl. If you are pulling tight compound curves regularly, a more flexible line will save you time.
How does it compare with Pinnacle?
Both publish 1,500,000 double rubs. Pinnacle is cheaper, has a far lower cold crack and carries Staycool, so it wins outdoors. Spirit has the longer field record and is the one with aviation burn documentation available. Neither is a wrong answer indoors.
