Start With What You Are Upholstering

These routes narrow the choices without hiding the broader vinyl and leather selections.

Car & Truck Interiors

Automotive Seat Vinyl for Cars & Trucks

For full seat covers and everyday interiors, start with a flexible upholstery vinyl that balances hand, stretch, cleanability and wear. Bayside is especially useful on contoured seats because its documented 4-way stretch helps it conform around compound curves.

Good starting points: Prodigy, Bayside, Pinnacle and Zander.

Interior Trim

Automotive Suede Vinyl for Seats & Interior Trim

Marine Suede is a microsuede-finish marine vinyl, not automotive headliner fabric. Use it where you want a soft suede-like surface on seats, door panels, consoles or other upholstered trim. For performance-look accents, textured vinyls such as Carbon Fiber, Diamante and Gemini add visual depth.

Good starting points: Marine Suede, Carbon Fiber, Diamante and Gemini.

Whole-Hide Leather

Automotive Leather for Seats & Interiors

Workhorse, Roadhouse and Sidecar are all suitable for aftermarket automotive upholstery. Workhorse is a protected top-grain leather for hard-working seating, Roadhouse brings a distressed broken-in look, and water-resistant Sidecar is rated for motor-vehicle and contract applications. Every line is sold only by the whole hide.

Compare: Workhorse, Roadhouse and Sidecar.

Recreation & Powersports

RV, UTV & Golf Cart Upholstery

Marine vinyl is a practical starting point for seating that sees sun, moisture, spills and frequent cleaning. For open vehicles and exposed seating, compare the broader marine selection with the two documented cool-touch options.

Good starting points: Prodigy, Pinnacle, Breeze and Anchor.

Motorcycle Upholstery

Motorcycle Seat Vinyl, Leather & Sewn Panels

Choose a durable marine vinyl for weather exposure, a whole Sidecar hide when the build calls for leather, or a CNC-sewn panel when you want the patterned stitching completed before upholstery.

Good starting points: Carbon Fiber, Apex, Glisten and Sidecar leather.

Sun-Exposed Seating

Cool-Touch Automotive Vinyl

Pinnacle and Breeze use topcoat technologies designed to reduce surface heat absorption compared with standard vinyl-coated fabrics. Performance varies by color, exposure and conditions, so compare samples on the product pages before committing to yardage.

Compare: Pinnacle Stay Cool and Breeze PermaCool.

Custom Upholstery

Pre-Sewn Automotive Upholstery Panels

Choose the pattern, material, thread color, foam and panel size. We sew the patterned panel in-house; you or your upholsterer cut it to the final shape, wrap it over the base and complete the installation.

Common Questions

Choosing Vinyl for a Vehicle

Can marine vinyl be used in a car or truck?

Yes. Every marine vinyl we carry is suitable for aftermarket automotive upholstery. Its UV, moisture and wear resistance makes it especially useful for seats and trim that see sun, spills and daily use.

Is Marine Suede an automotive headliner material?

No. Marine Suede is a microsuede-finish vinyl for upholstery seating, door panels, consoles and interior trim. We do not sell it as automotive headliner fabric.

Is every automotive option FMVSS 302 certified?

No. Where available, FMVSS 302 refers to the manufacturer's material flammability test result; it is not certification of a completed seat or vehicle. We show that test only where product documentation supports it.

Can I order a sample before buying yardage?

Yes. Sample swatches are $5 each with free shipping. Choose the sample option on a product page to see the color and feel the material before ordering yardage.
