Naugahyde buying guide
We stock four Naugahyde (Uniroyal) vinyls, all made in the USA, all sold by the yard with no minimum. For most jobs the answer is Spirit Millennium. The other three exist for a specific look or feel: Chamea II when you want a softer hand at a lower weight, English Pub when the job calls for a traditional glossy grain, and Rogue II when you want a fine grain in warm neutrals.

Start with Spirit Millennium
Spirit Millennium is the one we sell the most of, and for a reason: 1.5 million double rubs on #8 cotton duck, a -20°F cold crack, mildew resistance, UV-stable pigment, and a flammability list that covers California 117-2013, FMVSS 302, NFPA 260, UFAC Class I, IMO 2010 FTP Code Part 8 and FAA FAR 25.853(a). It is the only Naugahyde we stock with aviation burn documentation, available on request when you order. It cleans with mild soap and water and takes a 1:10 bleach solution when a disinfection protocol calls for it.
The trade-off is hand. Spirit is thick and does not stretch much, so it is harder to work around tight contours than a softer vinyl. Gentle warmth from a hair dryer or sunlight helps; a heat gun will burn it. For an open boat, use one of our marine vinyls instead.
Chamea II when you want a softer hand
Chamea II is 26 oz against Spirit's 37, with a noticeably softer feel, and it carries the same bleach-cleanable care and the same core flame ratings (FMVSS 302, NFPA 260, CAL TB 117, UFAC Class 1). At 250,000 double rubs it is rated for high-traffic hospitality and healthcare. It does not have built-in antimicrobial protection; if the spec calls for that, look at Silvertex.
English Pub when the job wants the traditional look
English Pub is the classic pub-seating vinyl: a pronounced grain with a gloss finish, 37 oz, 250,000 double rubs, same flame list as Chamea II. Ten colors. If the design is modern and matte, this is the wrong one; see Whisper or Carrara.
Rogue II when you want a fine grain in warm neutrals
Rogue II is a tighter, finer grain than the other three, at 33.5 oz and 250,000 double rubs, in a short palette of six warm neutrals. It reads more expensive than it is, which is why it turns up in hotel and gym work. If you need color range, that is Spirit's job.
